What are the hours of operation?
We are open for emergencies all holidays, nights, and weekends. When your regular veterinarian is closed we are open.
Our Emergency Hours are as follows:
Monday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Friday at 6:00 PM to Monday at 8:00 AM
How long will my wait time be?
The most critical patients are always seen first
at AHVEC. As a result, waiting times vary based on how critical your pet’s problem is and how busy the clinic is at the time you arrive. We strive to ensure that all patients entering the clinic are seen by the veterinarian immediately to determine how critical they are and in what order to place them in to be further evaluated and treated. Rest assured that even less critical cases will be seen in a timely manner, though they may not be seen in the order that they arrive. Feel free to check with the receptionist at the time that you arrive to determine your approximate waiting time.
How will my regular family veterinarian be involved in the care of my pet?
For routine cases at AHVEC your pets entire medical record is sent directly to your regular family veterinary clinic
at the time your pet is discharged from the clinic so that continued care and follow-up can be accomplished with the veterinarian that knows your pet best. We strive to work directly with your regular family veterinarian in the care of our most critical patients and case transfers through telephone consultations and updates throughout their course of treatment. Continuity of care is of utmost importance in these critical cases and the best means to accomplish this goal is through direct interaction between the two facilities when possible.
What are the payment options?
The After Hours Veterinary Emergency Clinic is pleased to offer a variety of payment options. We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express
